Magnesium Supplement for All Marine Aquariums

KENT MARINE TECH M MAGNESIUM supplement is an ionically balanced product that safely raises the magnesium level in any marine system. Magnesium plays an important role in helping maintain the calcium concentration in reef aquaria.

Directions

Shake well before using. Add 1 ml (1/4 tsp) per gallon of aquarium capacity each day to bring the level to between 1250 and 1350 ppm. This will raise the level by 18.3 ppm per day. As a routine supplement, add 10 ml (2 tsp) per 50 gallons of tank capacity every week. Multiple doses throughout the week are more beneficial – i.e. to add daily, determine the weekly dosing amount and divide by seven.

The recommended magnesium concentration in a marine aquarium is 1,320 mg/L (natural seawater concentration).

If maintaining calcium or buffer levels is a concern, check to see that the salt mix you are using contains natural seawater levels of magnesium. Magnesium is necessary and low levels result in poor calcium solubility and buffering.
